재웅 was so keen to tell me that he met a Filipino yesterday. He wanted to start a conversation with him, so he shared that his girlfriend is Filipino too and that he knows a few Filipino words. When the guy asked him to speak some, his mind almost went blank, and the only thing he was able to say was, "Mahal kita".
I couldn't stop laughing when he told me about it on the phone. The Filipino guy must have found it hilarious too! I told 재웅 not to (sort of) brag about his Filipino-speaking skills, especially since he doesn't have any! That was when I remembered that my best friend taught him some becky words before (for fun though unbeknownst to him), so I was just thankful that he didn't say "trulaloo", "shutanginamels", or "shuta ka"!!
